xrpld 3.3.0 Puts Five Amendments in Focus

RippleX outlined five amendments for xrpld 3.3.0, including revised Batch and Permission Delegation proposals plus three new capabilities.

RippleX product lead Jazzi Cooper said xrpld 3.3.0 was expected with five amendments: Confidential MPT, Batch, Permission Delegation, Sponsored Fees and Reserves, and Dynamic MPT.

CoinDesk reported the package on August 1 and linked Cooper’s original July 31 post. The report separates two revised proposals from three additions.

Two proposals return after security work

CoinDesk identifies Batch and Permission Delegation as the returning amendments. The official XRP Ledger vulnerability disclosure for Batch documents an authorization flaw found before mainnet activation and says no accounts or funds were compromised.

CoinDesk reports that Permission Delegation had also been disabled after a separate vulnerability. Because that detail is single-source in this verification set, it should be read as CoinDesk’s reporting rather than an independently established claim here.

Three additional capabilities

According to CoinDesk’s description, Confidential MPT is designed to add privacy features to Multi-Purpose Tokens while retaining a path for authorized verification. Sponsored Fees and Reserves would allow another account to cover fees and reserve requirements. Dynamic MPT would let an issuer define which token properties may change later.

Those descriptions explain proposal intent. They do not establish activation, production use or validator approval.

Release does not mean activation

CoinDesk explains that XRPL amendments activate only after at least 80% of trusted validators support them for two consecutive weeks. Inclusion in server software therefore starts a governance path; it does not finish one.

That distinction is the important one. The software can carry proposed capabilities while the network still decides whether each amendment becomes active.

Two release tracks

The amendment package is separate from the xrpld 3.2.1 validator-manifest hotfix. Version 3.2.1 addresses server security and service continuity. Version 3.3.0 is the vehicle Cooper identified for amendment proposals.
