Robinhood Chain RWA Jump Fivefold: Tokenized Stocks Trade at Scale

Two weeks after launch, tokenized GameStop, Nvidia, and SpaceX shares are clearing millions daily on Robinhood Chain. Real-world assets hit $70 million — up fivefold — but memecoins and stablecoins still dominate the network.

What Happened

Robinhood Chain launched as a blockchain designed specifically for tokenized equities. In its earliest days, the chain was dominated by speculative memecoin trading rather than the tokenization use case it was built for. That has started to shift.

According to CoinDesk reporting on July 25, 2026 citing DefiLlama data, tokenized real-world assets on Robinhood Chain now carry an active market value of about $70 million — a roughly fivefold jump from the low tens of millions of dollars the chain carried in its first weeks. At launch, RWA represented just 4% of chain activity while memecoins and stablecoins accounted for most volume.

Tokenized Equity Volume

A dozen Robinhood-based tokenized stocks are now clearing more than $500,000 in daily volume, with five above $1 million, according to CoinDesk. GameStop leads with $26.6 million in daily volume. Nvidia comes in at $14 million. SpaceX is at $6.4 million.

The tokenized stocks generate roughly $55 million in daily volume combined — under one-tenth of Robinhood Chain's nearly $600 million in total daily decentralized-exchange volume. The remainder of that DEX volume is dominated by memecoins.

Context: Total value locked on Robinhood Chain tripled since mid-July to about $312 million, according to DefiLlama. The chain recorded more than 138 million transactions over the past 30 days, per Token Terminal.

Memecoins Still Dominant

Despite the growth in tokenized equities, memecoins remain the primary activity on Robinhood Chain. On DEX Screener, the top trending tokens on the chain are names like "Hoodrat," "Vladhood," and "Swole Doge" — not the tokenized stocks the network was designed to host. Those tokenized stocks trade on Uniswap and rank lower in volume standings than the speculative tokens.

Stablecoins remain the single largest presence on the chain, with a combined market value in the hundreds of millions of dollars, according to CoinDesk. The memecoins that defined the chain's first weeks remain active and heavily traded on CoinGecko data.

The Original Critique — and the Answer

When Robinhood Chain first launched, analysts raised concerns that the company had built expensive infrastructure but attracted only speculation, with little sign that the tokenized-stock business it pitched would materialize. A memecoin called CASHCAT — built around Robinhood's discarded original name — spiked more than 1,700% after CEO Vlad Tenev followed its account, then fell roughly 75% from its peak.

The tokenized equity business is now materializing: tens of millions in real-world asset value, a dozen equities trading in real size. According to CoinDesk, however, the RWA segment remains small relative to the chain's stablecoin and memecoin ecosystems. Whether it keeps growing toward Robinhood's original vision for tokenization is the open question.

What It Means for RWA Tokenization

Robinhood Chain represents one of the more concrete data points in the tokenization story: retail-accessible equities placed directly on a public blockchain and clearing meaningful daily volume. The $55 million in daily tokenized stock volume across a dozen names is not hypothetical — it is live trading happening now.

For the broader tokenization industry, the Robinhood Chain data adds to a growing body of evidence that institutional and retail demand for on-chain equities exists, even if speculative activity still outweighs it in the early phase. The pattern mirrors what other chains experienced in early stages: speculative activity bootstraps liquidity, and the designed use case gradually claims a larger share.
